The Film in Malaysia Incentive (FIMI) is one of the most reliable cash returns in the global market, and we know exactly how to maximize it for your production.
This is a direct cash payout to your production entity based on your Qualifying Malaysian Production Expenditure (QMPE). It is not a tax credit. You do not need a broker. We actively collaborate with your team to hit the criteria that push it above 30%. We make sure you get the absolute highest return possible as we collaborate with you on every line item on every cost.
Most international incentives severely restrict claims to just local labour or basic rentals. The FIMI rebate is different. We work with your finance team early in pre-production to strategically structure your shoot, aggressively capturing major Above-the-Line (ATL) expenditures incurred in the territory alongside your Below-the-Line (BTL) physical production costs.
